Built Green Rating: 3 Star
Homebuilder Checklist
Location: Issaquah

The Dwelling Company is committed to incorporating Built Green features into every home. An example of this commitment is displayed by this 3-Star Built Green™ home "Bungalow 2085." This home can be found at Crofton, a neighborhood in the 3-Star Built Green Community of Issaquah Highlands in Issaquah.
By combining green approaches in the site development, construction and home design, The Dwelling Company has created a great example of a green home. For example, during the construction process, The Dwelling Company worked in conjunction with the land developer to ensure water runoff from the site was filtered of noxious chemicals before entering city storm systems. Temporary erosion control devices were utilized and optimally maintained. In addition, all ducts were cleared of construction debris and dust before the home was inhabited. The home's design also reflects green practices. For example, a large front porch helps to regulate the temperature by providing east or west shading. Low-VOC paint was used throughout the interior to improve the indoor air quality. As a testament to this homes outstanding energy efficiency, a third party field verification and certification program was voluntarily implemented. The Bungalow 2085 doesn't just meet the Single-Family Homebuilder checklist standards for a 3-Star Built Green home, it exceeds them!
