Habitat for Humanity
Snoqualimie, WA

Habitat for Humanity East King County is an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, an international leader in providing affordable housing to low-income families. Habitat East King County, along with other Washington affiliates have committed to incorporating green building strategies into all of the housing they provide. Their Snoqualmie project included 11 homes that certified at the 3-Star level. Each of the homes includes drought tolerant landscaping, Energy Star appliances, and extensive jobsite waste recycling among many other green building features. We are honored, for the second month in a row, to be able to showcase another Built Green Certified affordable housing project. This again demonstrates that green building concepts can easily be integrated into affordable housing projects, and we waive certification fees for non-profit affordable housing developers to put an exclamation mark on that point.
