King County is now joining nearby counties, such as Snohomish and Pierce, that have seen home prices dropping for months. Reflective in the latest data from The Northwest Multiple Listing Service showing cooling prices, it is now apparent that homebuying and listing for homes and condos has decreased. The median price of single-family homes and condos was $760,000 in King County and $680,000 in Snohomish County.

This week, Nick Harper and Allison Butcher from our Government Affairs team provide an update on bringing administrative final plat approval processes to local jurisdictions, as allowed under MBA-supported SB 5674, signed by Governor Inslee this year. This change will save applicants six to eight weeks of time in the approval process.

The median home price of single-family homes and condos in King and Snohomish counties fell month-over-month in July. The median home price went from $637,675 to $625,000 in King County and from $488,950 to $480,000 in Snohomish County, comparing June to July. The July median home price in Snohomish County is up 3.23% compared to a year ago and down 0.64% from last year in King County.
