In King County, the median price for single-family homes and condos reached $860,000, while in Snohomish County, it was $762,500. For single-family homes alone, King County saw a 5% increase in median price, rising from $906,250 last year to $955,000.

Meanwhile, Snohomish County experienced a 7% increase, with the median price climbing from $730,563 to $780,000.

Washington’s unemployment rate fell to 3.6% in September 2023, lower than the national average of 4.2%. The Seattle/Bellevue/Everett area with an unemployment rate of 3.2%. The construction industry added 3,400 jobs in a year, reaching a total of 240,300 statewide.

King and Snohomish counties ended 2020 with higher year-over-year median home prices amid continued tight supply of housing inventory for sale. The December 2020 median home price for single-family homes and condos was $676,000 in King County and $535,000 in Snohomish County, an increase of 9.92% and 8.08% respectively, compared to December 2019.
