This apartment building, designed by NK Architects and constructed by Cascade Built, is a great example of energy efficient urban living. The building contains 17 units on six floors: the top two units are two-story lofts and the remaining 15 units are studio apartments. All units are corner units, and the top two units have full rooftop decks!

The lot on which this project was built is 2,700 square feet. This project is comfortably able to fit its 17 units into this space thanks to the thought put into the design of the building, while also paying close attention to energy efficiency and high indoor air quality to further contribute to resident comfort in a desirable spot just blocks away from the Capitol Hill Link light rail station.

The building is 33.7% more energy efficient than required by code, thanks to ductless mini-splits in some units and an efficient gas condensing hot water tank. Large windows provide ample natural light as well as great views of the city. An energy recovery ventilator (ERV) provides great ventilation, and the toxin free interior finishes contribute to the healthy indoor environment.
